visited on Monday, December 19, 2021 the area of Dendropotamos and specifically the hospitable house of the "Lighthouse of the World". The members of DSNTH had the opportunity to talk with Father Athenagoras Loukataris about his work and contribution to the integration of Roma children in the school and social environment, while they were given the opportunity to meet and talk with volunteers of the organization that offer daily their help and time to overcome difficulties.
They then met at the Community Center with a Roma Branch in the Municipality of Ampelokipi, Menemeni, where they discussed with the competent officials the daily issues that concern the local community, such as unemployment, racism and school dropout.
They were also framed by a series of local community awareness campaigns to tackle domestic violence and support Roma in finding work.
