The Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Thessaloniki in the framework of the European Year for Youth 2022 organizes a cycle of five (5) skills seminars for young people in January and February 2022.
The aim of the seminars is to empower young men and women, to provide stimuli and knowledge for the development of skills on a personal, social and professional level and at the same time to give the opportunity for a creative dialogue on issues that concern the youth today.
They are aimed at young people 18 - 30 years old.
ΣυμμετοThe participation is free.
ΣεEach seminar is independent and lasts 4 teaching hours.
Number of participants for each seminar: up to 30 people.
Με Educational methodology: the seminars are based on non-formal learning techniques and methods. They include role-playing games, script analysis, educational digital tools and good practice presentation. Educational material will be provided for each seminar.
👉 Attendance certification: The participants will receive a certificate of attendance from the Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
All seminars will take place online via the digital zoom platform.

"Communication in the digital age"
I develop my communication skills within the team. Active listening, empathy, argumentation.
Purpose of the seminar is for the participants to deepen in communication issues, to sharpen its decoding as well as to develop their communication skills, both on a personal and professional level.
Specifically we will try:
- to enhance clarity and persuasion in our communication,
- to improve verbal communication and non-verbal (body language),
- be able to distinguish communication styles, so that we can manage situations more effectively,
- to strengthen the process of mutual understanding in communication and to convey our message clearly.

"Soft skills: how they affect our professional life and how they are related to our personal development"
Exploring gentle skills, examples and approaches to the image we have of ourselves and others of us.
Purpose of the seminar is to emphasize the value of mild skills but also to present techniques and methods for the development of mild skills.
We will approach the 3 categories of gentle skills:
- individual skills, such as e.g. self-awareness, creativity, resilience
- social skills, such as e.g. communication skills, cooperation, conflict management, leadership
- methodological skills, such as e.g. adaptability, decision making, critical thinking, analysis and information management.

Expression and management of basic emotions (anger, joy, fear, sadness), problem & conflict resolution, stress and crisis management
Goalι of the seminar are the participants / young men and women:
- to improve their relationships with those around them,
- to boost their self-esteem,
- to discover new ways of expressing their feelings and
- to cultivate new ways of managing their difficulties.

"Stereotypes and diversity in the age of image and digital technology"
How we approach diversity through our choices and our attitude towards life.
Purpose of the seminar is to deepen the mechanism of development of prejudices, stereotypes and social categorizations through a creative, experiential process.
We will approach stereotypes that can lead to hate speech, racism, xenophobia, discrimination based on gender identity.
At the same time we will approach the concept of inclusion in modern social reality.
