The term (intelligent cities / smart cities) is used to describe cities, where innovative digital systems are applied that make the most of the possibilities offered by the use of the so-called "Internet of Things" (IoT), a network capable of connecting data simultaneously, people and objects. We are pleased to announce the launch of the FREE asynchronous distance learning program on "Introduction to Internet of Things" within the Kedith Cisco Academy", He stated the President of Κ.Ε.ΔΗ.Θ. Ioanna Kosmopoulou. And he added: "This program, with the certification of Cisco, enables the interested party to understand the connection of the objects that we all use in our daily life with the internet and computers but also how it is possible to provide services in remote areas. So we aspire to train young people who will contribute, so that Thessaloniki becomes a smart city»
We inform every interested party that the KEDITH Cisco Academy of the Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Thessaloniki (KEDITH) offers free educational program on the subject of the internet of things. The monitoring of the program will be done online at a time and pace that will be chosen by each interested party, while the estimated attendance time is 20 hours. The program will be available by 1η February to March 24 2021 and after the successful monitoring of the program and the relevant examinations, it is given digitally Certificate of Attention (Certification of Completion) and Digital Certificate of Education (Digital Training Badge).
Program contents
Start your journey on the Internet of Things and by the end of the program you will:
- Learn how current digital conversion creates unprecedented financial opportunity.
- Understand how the IoT bridges the gap between operating and information systems.
- find out how standard business processes are transformed.
- be aware of the security to be considered when implementing IoT solutions.
Participants
The program consists of 6 sections and is addressed to anyone interested who wants to learn more about the internet of things. Participation is open to those adults who wish. There is no prerequisite knowledge for participation. There is no limit to the number of participants.
Venue
The course will be done online through asynchronous distance learning tools. The trainees will have access to all the curriculum (in English) electronically.
