We inform every interested party that the KEDITH Cisco Academy of the Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Thessaloniki (KEDITH) will offer a FREE educational program on the subject of computer networks. The program will be monitored online twice a week for 2 hours, while the total attendance time is 3 hours. CCNAv210 is a program of three modules and will start on 01.03.2021 and will end on 03.12.2021.
After successfully completing each unit of the program and the relevant exams, you will receive a digital certificate of attendance (Certification of Completion) and a Digital Training Badge (Digital Training Badge). Passing the exam gives you the opportunity to continue in the next section. Upon completion of the entire program you can obtain a 60% discount voucher for the Cisco CCNA certification exam (200-301 CCNA) (with a score of at least 70/100) and take the certification exam at a Pearson VUE Authorized Examination Center. This certification is the strongest professional resource in the field of computer networks.
Contents and material of the program
The first step for a career in the field of Data Networks!
CCNAv7 is a three-part program. This is the new version, which came into force in July 2019, while the first exams took place in February 2020.
CCNA Introduction to Networks (ITN)
In the first section you will get acquainted with network architectures, models, protocols and functions, while you will be taught basic basic principles of network security.
By completing this section you will be able to:
• create local area networks (LANs) that incorporate IP addressing and basic network security rules,
• implement basic configuration on network devices such as Routers and Switches,
• implement IPv4 and IPv6 addressing
• configure routers, switches and end devices to access local and remote network services, but also to ensure end-to-end connectivity
• have critical thinking and problem-solving skills through Packet Tracer emulator workshops.
• configure and deal with communication problems in small networks, using best practices for each case
Coursework:
• 17 Modules
• Final Exam
CCNA Routing, Switching and Wireless Essentials (SRWE)
The second section focuses on technologies for installing, configuring and supporting a Local Area Network (LAN) via wired and wireless connections as well as basic principles of packet routing. At the same time, it focuses on security technologies and protocols as well as their application, regarding a Local Area Network (LAN).
By completing this section you will be able to:
• configure routers, switches, and wireless devices and troubleshoot VLANs, wireless networks, and routing between VLANs
• configure and troubleshoot redundancy on a switch network using STP and EtherChannel
• have critical thinking and problem-solving skills through Packet Tracer emulator labs
• Explain how network availability and reliability are supported using dynamic addressing and First-Hop Redundancy (FHRP) protocols
Coursework:
• 16 Modules
• Final Exam
CCNA Enterprise Networking, Automation & Security (ENSA)
The third section describes architectures and considerations related to the design, security, operation, and troubleshooting of a corporate network. You will learn Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies, service quality assurance (Qos) and security mechanisms, while also coming in contact with virtualization and automation technologies that support network digitization.
By completing this section you will be able to:
• configure routers, switches using the OSPF routing protocol for Point-to-Point and multi-access networks
• Minimize threats and enhance network security by using Access Control Lists and security best practices
• have critical thinking and problem-solving skills through Packet Tracer emulator labs
• Understand virtualization, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technology, and how Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and configuration management tools enable network automation.
Coursework:
• 14 Modules
• 1 Practice Certification Exam
Participants - Prerequisites
The program is addressed to any interested party who wants to gain advanced knowledge in the networking industry and to apply for jobs as designers, managers or technicians of small and medium business networks. The maximum number of participants will be 16 people.
Due to the specialization of the subject, it is recommended that the trainees have:
• good knowledge of English
• basic knowledge of computers, internet, informatics
• internet line at least adsmb 24mbps
• any PC of the last 8 years with at least 4GB RAM
Venue
The course will be done online through modern and asynchronous distance education tools under the guidance of a specialized certified teacher. In addition to the specified course, the student is required to engage in personal study which includes the study of the material, the implementation of the workshops and the implementation of the test questions. In general, engaging in addition to the classroom lesson requires 2-4 hours / week. The lessons will be done in Greek, while all the curriculum in English is given electronically.
