Invitation to participate in the Open Discussion
"Gathering of Opinions: Youth designs"
As part of the European Communities Driving Change program, the Municipal Youth Council of Thessaloniki, the United Societies of Balkans and Infinity Greece are organizing the second open Debate “Gathering of Opinion” on Thursday 28/04/2022 at 16:30 in the “Manolis Anagnostakis” Hall of the Thessaloniki City Hall.
The aim of the discussion is the interaction between the young people of the city in order to express collectively the needs and problems they face. The meeting will take place through coordinated discussions at round tables and interactive methods of expression and exchange of ideas. The practice of round tables aims at the direct interaction and joint empirical research of the participants. In the previous stage of our action, several young people from Thessaloniki had the opportunity to express their concerns and propose a series of possible solutions. In this second phase of the program, our goal is to utilize the conclusions of the previous action and to formulate a series of integrated proposals to Civil Society and Local Government.
The main topics to be discussed are:
-Education and work
- Environment, cityscape and transportation
- Rights and responsibilities (in health, work, LGBTQ +, socially marginalized groups, etc.)
Youth and decision-making relationship, civil society and young people, active participation
The event will take place live in compliance with the protection measures against Covid-19 in force. Specifically, the participants in the event must have a certificate of vaccination or illness.
