Coding For Girls Program
The International Center for Digital Transformation and Digital Skills of Cisco in collaboration with the Scientific College of Greece organizes a free innovative training program on: "Coding For Girls" starting from October 22 to December 22 with a total duration of 50 hours. The seminar will be implemented for 3 hours per day, 2 times a week, Tuesday and Thursday between 17.00 - 20.00.
Program contents:
The program consists of 6 sections and the material includes the following:

Introduction to Python

Data types, variables basic Input-Output operations, basic operators

Boolean values, conditional execution, loops, lists, and list processing, logical and bitwise operations

Functions, tuples, dictionaries and data processing

Modules, string packages, and list methods and exceptions

The object oriented approach: classes, methods, objects and the standard objective features? exception handling and working with files
Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Successful Completion, while at the same time they will be able to take the Industry Certification exam entitled PCAP: Certified Associate in Python Programming.
Participants
Addressed exclusively to girls, students or the unemployed who want to deal with Programming and specifically with the Python language. Upon completion of the program, they will acquire all the necessary skills required for their professional development in the fields of Web Development, Programming in the field of IoT, but also Data Network Automation. The maximum number of participants will be 16 people.
Venue
The trainees will have the opportunity to attend the seminar at Cisco Digital Transformation and Digital Skills Center in Thessaloniki, located at the Old Municipal Slaughterhouses on October 26 35. Participants will have access to the material and workshops through the online platform Cisco Academy.
Requests for participation
The Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Thessaloniki (KEDITH) wishing to support this innovative action invites those interested to participate. Participation is free, while attending classes is obligatory. The participants promise that they will not be absent from the lessons.
Securing a place will be done in order of priority by filling out the online form https://scg.edu.gr/coding-for-girls (it is mandatory to send the CV). Social welfare is important, as priority will be given to those who are socially weaker.
