In the context of the World Environment Day, we have the pleasure to invite you to the big celebration for the environment on Sunday, June 5. The Municipal Youth Council of Thessaloniki together with the United Nations Youth Network for the Promotion of Sustainable Development Solutions on the Black Sea (SDSN Youth Black Sea), the AUTh Student Group for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG Student Hub AUTh), The ActionAid Thessaloniki and civil society organizations of Thessaloniki co-organize a Street Action entitled "Greening our city" on the pedestrian street of Agia Sofia the hours 11:00-15:00.
The aim of the event is to promote a sustainable lifestyle, the circular economy and recycling to the citizens of Thessaloniki through interactive actions for the public. Through awareness of the very important issues concerning the environment and which concern the youth more and more every day, we are given the opportunity to be up close and interact in one of the most central parts of the city.
The actions that will take place on the pedestrian street of Agia Sofia are detailed:
- Street Action "We learn to recycle properly".
- Quiz games for the environment for young and old!
- Action Road "We send our own message about the environment".
- Parallel photo exhibition for the environment.
- Actions by ActionAid Thessaloniki.
Free plants (pansies, marigolds, etc.) will be available to the public during the event from the A 'Nursery of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
